How to read the label for soy allergy sufferers

Avoid  foods that contain soy or any of these ingredients:

Edamame

Lecithin

Miso

Natto

Shoyu

Soy - soy albumin, soya beans, soy cheese, soy fibre, soy flour, soy ice- cream, soy milk, soy nuts, soy sprouts, soy yoghurt.

Soya

Soyabean - curd or granules

Soy protein - concentrate, hydrolyzed or isolate

Soy sauce

Tamari

Tempeh

Textured vegetable protein (TVP)

Tofu

Soy is sometimes found in:

Asian cuisine, vegetable gum, vegetable broth, vegetable starch

Bread, biscuits and cakes

Ready meals and processed foods

Medicines & supplements

Teriyaki sauce 

Vegetable starch & shortening
